Cant connect: '' is not a valid integer value

p posted 8 years ago in Creating a connection
When i try to connect to a remote server hosting my database, i get this error:

'' is not a valued integer value

This is the information i fill in on the connection screen:

hostname: https://www.site.com/mysql/
user: myname
pw: mypw
port:3306
databases:mydbase

Any ideas why it wont work?

I removed the https:// bit and then i got the following error:

"sql error 2003, can't connect to mysql server on 'www.site.com' (10060)".

I have the same problem with one connection, only with 1.
Is there a special reason for this?

Why on God's green earth would you need someone's email address? I don't know Anse, but to me, "ipodfansmail" seems like a forum Troll up to no good. I noticed his new user account a few days ago and thought his username coincided with a spam bot too much, and on top of that, there were no posts from him. So now, his first post is "Can you give me your email address"? I'd keep an eye on him.

Well, it's ok to send me mails as long as you do not ask questions which belong here into the forum which would then be ignored. Anyway, you'll find it linked on the "Home" page in the footer.
