HeidiSQL not appearnig on screen, only in taskbar.

When I try to run HeidiSQL, it only appears in the taskbar and I cannot see it on screen, nomatter what I do.

I downloaded the latest build of HeidiSQL and tried looking for the window-something in the registry, but nothing I try works.

Be patient, HeidiSQL looks for updates on starting up. Probably you just have a slow connection or heidisql.com is slow. Please wait a while and report back.

My connection isn't slow. Also, if I hover over the icon in the taskbar,I can see the GUI of it pop up in the little preview window.

Please exit all HeidiSQL instances, then start regedit.exe, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HeidiSQL and delete all values starting with "MainWin". Then start HeidiSQL and see if that helped.

I am seeing the same thing on my Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have tried to delete the registry values starting with MainWin, but it restoring MainWinLeft after I right click the HeidiSQL icon on the task bar and tell it to close.

you must first terminate heidisql before changing the registry. use taskmanager to check for the heidisql.exe process; if it should still be present, kill it.
Then change the registry.

Closed heidisql before changing the registry. It got rid of MainWinLeft entry, but heidisql still only appears on the taskbar.
