New user: Can't find a valid libmysql.dll

I've got the Heidi exe in the same folder as libmysql.dll, but anytime I try to open my database Heidi complains that there isn't a valid libmysql.dll and to run it from the same directory. But it is. Any ideas?

You have probably a 32bit libmysql and a 64bit heidisql.exe . Or vice versa. Not sure how you managed that but it's the most probable explanation.
