Import WP db from phpMyAdmin

Hello,

New to WT-NMP and HeidiSQL :)

Long time user of other Apache-based stacks.

I did a search on the forum for this and found a reply from 4 years ago. Tried it and no success.

Exported the WP db from phpMyAdmin using the "quick" selection; this has always worked when moving/copying sites.

Created a new db in Heidi and then attempted the Load Query and F9 to execute the exported .sql file.

It runs and completes with no errors but there is nothing in the target db.

I guess I am so used to just clicking the "Import" function in phpMyAdmin and it just works :-)

What am I missing?

Cheers!
Lyle

Perhaps phpMyAdmin's export file created another db and created tables in that db instead of the one you created?

I don't understand what you mean, but I got it sorted ... just a matter of getting used to the app. All I had to do was refresh the Local DB and there it all was :)
