Possibility to insert a file by clicking the field in the column with the right button and the menu have the option to Insert File. The option Insert files into TEXT/BLOB fields only you can add all column fields, so you can also edit a field only

Double-click on the field in the data grid. You will get the binary editor from which you can select the "Load binary file" button.

Your suggestion would be faster, however!
