I am not sure what happened, however my error message that used to be in English, now shown in France.

Is there a way to turn it back to English?.

Thanks,

Trias H

Please remember that we cannot peek your monitor over your shoulder; you have to tell us explicitly anything you want us to know.

If you mean that HeidiSQL interface is in French and you want it in English you can change it at "Tools/ Preferences/ General" (sadly, I can't tell you the menu names in French).

Hi Kalvaro,

thanks for your quick reply, however it didn't quite solve my problem. Here is a more information regarding the situation i had with HeidiSQL. The application language preference i had is English so the language in the UI is also in English.

The problem is when error occurred, any (error) message shown in the message box is in French as can be seen in the attached image.

I like to have the error message in English as i don't speak French. What are the steps to make English the default error message.

Thanks,

Trias H

That's a message from the MySQL server not from HeidiSQL. I guess there is a language setting for the my.ini or my.cnf on the server which is responsible for such messages.

Changing lc_message setting from lc-messages=fr_FR to lc-messages=en_US in my.ini solve the problem.

Thanks for pointing it out.
