Related to the new possibility to add virtual columns in mysql 5.7 for JSON usage its cause bug during heidisql dump (in short the virtual columns must not be exported). this is was fixed with the classic mysqldump command for mysql > 5.7.9 versions.

Well, yes, can confirm that issue - virtual columns are exported in HeidiSQL.

How does mysqldump exactly handle virtual columns? Data is probably left out, but the structure is required or?

Thanks for you answer using mysqldump will of course export the structure but in the insert statment all the virtual columns will be ignored
