How to clear data tab sorting

I've seen a similar problem with the data tab filtering... If you apply an expensive filter, it is by default remembered and will be applied each time you open the tab.

Solution seems to be either:

  1. Disabling the option to remember: Preferences > Editor configuration > [ ] Reuse previous configuration settings on restart.
  2. Use the "Clear data tab filter" context menu option.

Neither seem to have any effect on the sorting of the data tab. If I apply a very expensive sort, the app locks up and I force quit. Now I'm stuck, because each time I open the data tab in the future for that table the sort is applied.

I'd think that disabling "Reuse previous configuration settings on restart" would apply to sorting as well, but it does not.

This is on 9.4.0.5142 portable.

I have the same problem. If I apply an expensive sort and have to force quit, I can't get back to the data view for that table without removing the setting from the registry (see the topic "sorting/filter reseting" [sic]).

I noticed in the "Shortcuts" area of the "Preferences" window, there is a shortcut (under "Data") to "Reset sorting" (Alt+S). I'm not sure why it's not in a table's context menu, along with "Clear data tab filter", and it also doesn't work correctly. It only works in the "Edit" view if at some point in the past you have switched to the "Data" tab view of the table. If you just start by opening up a table in "Edit" view, this shortcut has no effect :(
