Query time - what is actually measured?

When I run query one of the inforamtion available is how much time query execution took.

I suspect it does not show execution time of executed query but whole proces including following queries done just to gather information to create result view. I men, after required query is executed, HeidiSQL runs series of SHOW TABLES and SHOW COLUMNS queires and execution tiem of those queries is also counted in.

Execution time of use query alone is very importantinformation and it should be shown.
