UTF8 file not detected (read as ANSI)

Hello, i have an 8mb sql file that contains utf8 data but only after half. According to this release HeidiSQL reads only the first 100k to determine if it's a (BOM-less) utf8 file. Is there a way to force HeidiSQL to treat all files as UF8 ? or per import file? Thanks! |

No, not currently. Files are only auto detected. |

so the only solution would be to insert an UTF8 char at the beginning of the file ... |

Encoding is now selectable when you open a SQL file. |
