problems connecting

i have problems connecting to heidi sql ive had a look at some of the guides on here but they seem irrelavant to my problems when i try to connect it comes up with error "could not establish connection sql error: cant connect to mySQL server on "127.0.0.1" (10061) can some1 plz help me with this error! 8)

Google "10061" for starters.

This error means that a TCP connection could not be established, because either the target machine or a firewall on the route actively refused the connection.

Make sure that the server is running, listening on the correct port, and that your firewall has a hole punched in the right spot.
