filtered cells lose inserted data

When I use the filter search at the bottom of Heidi it seems that if I enter data into an existing row sometimes the data does not stay there. I thought (in the case of only one result row) to click into a different box on that row, and I decided that does not seem to always cause the new data to be retained. I then tried clicking into a blank area under the row, causing a box to appear around my new data. I may well be forgetting to click elsewhere after entering the data ans maybe that is why I go back and find it missing.

I would like to know what the recommended action is in order to retain data inserted into a single filtered row.

I suspect it is clicking into an open space (and that my problem is operator error), but I am seeking specific advice so I can quit experimenting.

Thank You

If I understand right you have filtered some rows, and afterwards inserted a new row into the selected table. Which then probably does not fit to the filter ?

New rows have to be stored by either leaving focus into another row, or by pressing Ctrl+Enter.

No, like I said it seems that if I enter data into an existing row sometimes the data does not stay there. I filter until there is one row presented, then I change the data in one of the cells. Then I look at this row later on and the changes did not take. It seems that as long as I click into a blank area that is not a row, then it resolves the problem.

Oh looks like you did not "post" your row changes - this is important, the red triangle is a hint for unsaved changes.

I updated Heidi after the first post and I did notice the red triangle. Thanks for your help.

I really appreciate your program, it is way better than anything else.
