How do I restart HiediSQL?

Just like the title, How exactly do I "restart" HiediSQL? I looked in my process and nothing about HiediSQL was in there. I'm asking because I'm getting the "Can't connect to MySQL server on "127.0.0.1"(10061) Someone help please! :] |

HeidiSQL.exe is normally started via your start menu: All programs > HeidiSQL For fixing that connection problem you should try the tons of postings wrt this topic, e.g. this one. |

Everytime i try to connect it i get the error 'SQL Error: Can't connect to mySQL server on 127.0.0.1(10061)' I have readed the How do i restart HeidiSQL, but i dont find the information about how to restart in the forum link there... :oops: can u please help me?? |

Because HeidiSQL is a graphical front-end for MySQL: if the latter is not even running, there's not much you can do with the former. By the way... Have you even installed MySQL in your computer? |

I'll assume lol ye means Yes, I have installed MySQL in my computer, but I don't know how to launch it. Find somewhere in Start-> Programs-> MySQL an icon labelled MySQL System Tray Monitor. When you click on it you'll see a gear icon in the taskbar notification area. If the icon is red then you need to right-click on it and select Start Instance. |
