problem with update process

1) I open heidisql
2) it tells that there are new updates
3) I downloads the version and tries to restart the program
4) when i don't close the original heidi window it remains in the old version

what i mean that the restart process is not successfull

The updater tries to close the old instance. If there are unsaved changes and you press cancel when being asked to save them, the updater has no chance to close it.

i understand. I have even the problem when i did not open any connection. The program thinks somehow that i made changes when i did not. I can send a screen shot but i don't know how
