Enter your user , password in the SID@Host you need to put the service identifier @ hostname. If you dont know what this is ask your admin or look in your tnsnames files on the server. The default port will usually work. At the current time, your database port must be exposed to the internet or you will be block by a firewall. A proxy server will be available in the coming weeks which will allow you to access internally hosted databases behind a firewall. |

Thank you. I managed that part. Are you using sql*net? or what client are you using to manage the connection to Oracle? Our security administrators on our network are asking me. Thanks again! P. |
