Hmm can't figure out how to insert link to jpg. You will have to copy it out manualy.

I suspect your editor's font does not support all Czech characters. You can try another font at Tools-> Preferences-> SQL-> Editor font.

So, there is a dash character showing up in a grid result but not in the query editor. What charcode is it?

Copied the first version of that hyphen, and just saw that this is not a minus, but some Unicode character. A hyphen typed via keyboard is 45. However, I guess SynEdit should display that char correctly, unless there is some bug in SynEdit.
