firstly, I love HeidiSQL - it beats toad for usability and everything else for features.

I use my laptop on internal monitor in the office, and at home connected to a single external "projector" display.

When I launch HeidiSQL, I get nothing come up. When I hover over the task bar icon, I can see that its got the sql login prompt, but presumably its "off screen".

I think Im running the portable version, and my machine is cloggged with apps already.

Any tips?

Latest HeidiSQL version.
Win 7 64bit pro.

The work around is to disconnect the external monitor, restart HeidiSQL on the internal display, find the task in the task bar, click on the thumbnail to "lauch" the window, then reconnect the monitor and set the external monior as the only display.

Hm, I thought I fixed these effects in a commit some months ago. Will check that again.

Hmm, the portable version downloaded a setup.exe, which presumably is the non portable version. downloaded the porable v7 .zip, but havent found how to upgrade (rather than overwrite yet).
