Help System is Empty (blank)

I was attempting to look up how to manage indexes in the HeidiSQL help system and it's completely blank.

I clicked
HELP -> SQL Help
and the help window appears but all the area of the window are empty.

Is there something I need to download?

I'm using Win 2000 SP 4

Thanks!

The SQL help fetches help content from the server, so it will obviously not help you in HeidiSQL GUI things. But however, bad that it's empty. In that case your server does not support the HELP command, or your server's help tables are empty. Which MySQL version is it? You can try that on a different server.

I see. We have 2 servers right now, one is about 7 years old (ancient in computer years). The new server IS working just fine. It's the old one that produces no help output.

That's probably the issue. It's just too old.

Thanks.

NB: the help system, if present, consists of 4 tables in the 'mysql' database, with names that have a help_ prefix (eg help_topic), which also must have non-zero record counts.
I do not know wether just copying these help tables to a server enables the help system; as stated above, the server must also support the SQL HELP statement, which is present from MySQL v4.1 onwards. (cf. here).
