Here is newbie question:
How can I copy selected cells or columns of sql query or a view?
Right click copies only the clicked single cell, not the selected area.

it looks like mouse unable to select an area in query results grid.

In order to select rows via mouse, you need to drag your mouse from somewhere in the grid to the very left column. You can also press Ctrl + left mouse button to add a row to the selection.

Then, you can rightclick the "Export grid rows" menu item, which opens a self explainable dialog for copying selected or all rows.

it was not what I asked.

Program selects n copies the rows.
I admit.
I was asking how to copy selected cells
or whole COLUMN.

it is funny behaviour, copy only one cell while there are
a few cell are selected.

Clarification:
it is funny behaviour, (RIGHT CLICK) copy only one cell while there are
a few cell are selected.

copy selected cells or whole COLUMN: you CANT. Heidisql is not Excel, and does not allow arbitrary selections within query results.you can only select
a) single celes, or
b) whole rows to be copied (including all rows).
if you want any other selection, you must modify your SELECT so that it produces only the desired columns; or export the query ersult as CSV, and load it into Excel.
