Credits

In the credits there's a "1000 thanks" to people who will probably never even read these credits, and who did nothing to specifically help HeidiSQL.

Example:
There's "1000 thanks to Transifex for a free translation account"
But no "1000 thanks to people who spent hours translating HeidiSQL"

Also, there are so many bug reports and feature requests that I think a big thank you for everyone who made an effort to improve HeidiSQL is in place. Without the bug reports and pushing for certain features, HeidiSQL would definitely not be as good as it is today.

This goes for the release notes and the credits in the about box.

Yes, you are definitely right. I just run into space problems if I add all contributors. There are hundreds of translators, even thousands of bug/feature reporters. How can I handle that?

Auto-Scrolling credits box would be an option...

Yes, right. And how to get a complete list of contributors? Is there some page on Transifex with all contributors listed? On Google Code there isn't. And I should anyway not list all people having reported some bug/feature request. There are roughly 50% unusable/unreadable/duplicate reports.

Personally, I would only list those who "influenced" HeidiSQL in a noteworthy way... So, of course the translators should be mentioned...

Mentioning each and every bug reporter doesn't make any sense...

Ok, then let's do that. I'll grap Transifex contributors from time to time and put them into the about box, and into the readme.txt file.

Anyone knows how to get a list of *active* translators from Transifex? I have 10 translators alone for Chinese, but I doubt they all really did some translation. Would be unfair against those who really worked on translations if I would just list all registered people.

r4524 lists all recently active translators in the about dialog.

I was forced to use a vertical scrollbar, otherwise the dialog would have grown twice as big as it was before... happy

Ah, worth to mention: I'm reading that list from the just updated readme.txt, so to see that new list, you will have to use the nightly built installer, not just the nightly executable.
