Heidisql version 8 is not connectin

Hi,
I am using HeidiSQL version 7 - its still running perfect.
i downloaded ver. 8 but its not connecting; showing following error:

SQL Error (2003) in statement #0: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

Note: if i try using ver. 7 its connecting but not with ver 8.

Please help me.

Some more details please. And please also try 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost. There was some issue with resolving localhost to an ip address in the newer libmysql.dll.

I tried using 127.0.0.1 and is working now.
