its importaint to make copys of your data.
i had to do a system restore from a bad website
and rolled back a day. doing that i lost some data
in my database table. its a good thing
i allways export when i add a new record.
to a html where i can access it online.
i am a newbee. maybe theres another way that will
hide your data copys from public in a sql database.
and keep it secure without showing the world. is there?

Hosting providers usually do backups once per day. If you are making some changes that can potentially break things then it is common sense to make a backup as part of update process.
