Does this software connect to my MYSQL Database on my server or does the software create its own database? I'm a beginner at all of this...Thanks

Heidi connects to MySQL and mssql Servers. It does not bring its own database with it.

Thanks so much. I have another question, Do I need to install the Compiled.EXE and Installer?

Use the installer the first time. Do not bother with the compiled .exe files on the download page. You can do automatic updates of that file in Help > Check for updates.
