Won't Create File

OS: Win 7 (64-bit)
Heidisql: v. (64 Bit)

When I tried to backup my site, an error message said:

Cannot create file "C:\Program Files (x86)\HeidiSQL\Backups\June 18, 2014C_temp.sql".
Access is denied.

How can I resolve this?

Well, the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)" requires administrator privileges to write into it. That's the wrong place to save backups, man. Store it somewhere else on your harddisk, but not in "C:\Program Files (x86)", neither "C:\Program Files" and so not in "C:\Windows" (or a subfolder of these).

Yet, HeidiSQL used to save to that directory. How can I tell HeidiSQL that I am the administrator?

Well, you would have to run HeidiSQL as Administrator.
