Can't see the window

Installed HeidiSQL on a windows 8 machine (not 8.1) 64Bit. Started the program but it remained in the taskbar and the window won't appear on the desktop. I can see it with the task manager (ALT-TAB) but it doesn't appear on the desktop. Strange. Any help? Thanks!

Which Heidi version is it? I recall I fixed that some time ago.

HeidiSQL_8.3.0.4694_Setup

On another windows machine, 8.1 64Bit it runs without problems and on windows 2003 server 32Bit as well.
