Open a script auto detect always fails

To back up my database right before I do something stupid, I right click it and choose export to SQL file. Now if what I did really was stupid and I want to restore, I go to Open it. If I forget to change the encoding from "Auto detect (may fail)" to "UTF-8", the restored database has silently corrupted any non-ASCII characters in the database. Can you please let us set a default encoding for opening SQL files or improve the Auto detect behavior? Thanks for such a great program!

I guess it's a good idea for HeidiSQL to remember the previously selected encoding. So, when you again select a file, the encoding drop down has the encoding preselected you have selected the last time opening a file.

Sorry. I wouldn't bother you with it, but it's bitten me so many times and it's hard to catch when it happens. Thanks!
