DB Tree Filter: prevent regexp evaluation while typing

It's nice to have the possibility to use regexps in the filter and I use it extensively, but HeidiSQL gets stuck while evaluating incomplete regexps. Maybe it happens only on servers with enormous number of tables but that's my case.

For example, I have to type "b{left}\" instead of "\b" to avoid this problem.

Any solution, be it some delay while typing, confirmation of the complete filter expression, or anything else, would be welcome.
