Source-Code Corrupt?

I have tried to download the sourcecode serveral times on diffrent browsers / machines but every time Windows is telling me it cannot open the ZIP file, it tells me it is corrupt.

Can you confirm it and please refresh the sourcecode package so i can download it again.

Thanks,

Raymond

Hi Raymond,

I just downloaded the source code. The problem is that the extension is wrong. Rename the archive to .7z and decompress it using the 7-Zip archiving program (available on Windows and Linux) and it all works fine.

Cheers, Archfrog

Thanks, that works indeed.

Is there a reason the extension is wrong?

I guess the author of HeidiSQL originally used ZIP and then changed to 7-Zip and forgot about the extension :)

7-Zip is much better than ZIP because it supports Unicode characters in file names in a portable manner, which ZIP doesn't. Perhaps the author of HeidiSQL ran into this issue.

The .zip extension should be correct. I am always creating the source package with 7-zip, so I guess I have some wrong or esoteric setting in the 7-zip dialog. Sorry for the mess. Will check that.
