Better autocomplete - limit of objects on large databases

In my application there are 25 thousand tables and 45 thousand views -- Heidi simply freezes on autocomplete. Perhaps autocomplete should be smarter and only fetch objects with names starting with what I've already typed. Also there should be a limit (time- or row-based) while fetching objects for autocomplete.
