[feature request] Offer a way to kill long-running operations like opening a database

If I open a database with hundreds of thousands of tables the program will hang while it tries to list all the tables.

Please consider having the usual "stop query" button be active while an internal listing query in running, so I can cancel it without having to kill heidi

You can disable "Get full table status" in the session dialog, on the "Advanced" tab. This turns the SHOW TABLE STATUS into a different query, which is more speedy.

Cool thanks! It still hanged for an undesirable amount of time but (i presume) once that was in the query cache it was much faster
