I just got a new computer and kept my old drive as an external drive in this machine, most programs I was able to keep the settings via app data folder but heidisql it seems not to work. I have no way to boot with my old hard drive which is not compatible with the current machine.

is there a way to get my sessions, snippets, etc.? through the old drive? I have all the data there... Please help!!

Thanks

Snippets were previously stored in c:\users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\HeidiSQL\ - so these should not be a problem to restore.

The sessions are stored in the Windows registry, in the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HeidiSQL . This is more complicated to restore. But don't panic, there are a lot of tutorials for doing that. One I just found quite good can be found here: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/recover-export-data-offline-registry-files/
