difference between install and portable

Hi, what are the advantages of installing heidisql instead of running portable version? Are there any performance or stability benefits of installing the app?

The only difference is that when you install HeidiSQL, your settings are kept in your Windows registry. In the portable version, settings are saved and restored from a textfile in the directory where heidisql.exe is placed.

I usually prefer portable apps beacause they bloat the system less, are easeier to migrate (ew win installation, other PC) so unless I get extra stability or performance I'll stick with portable. Thanks for explanation.
