restrict heidi to IP or certificate

I'm trying to connect to our computer repair site to Heidi rather than use phpmyadmin. I don't have a static IP at home let alone when using it out and about at hotspots. Is there a way to use heidi with a certificate or something to restrict access to my db for example linked to my laptop?

Yes, of course, you could use HeidiSQL's built in support for Plink SSH tunnel with a certificate. Or restrict access to a more loose IP pattern, for example "123.456.789.%".
