Error in 10.1

While adding a new DB, table and field the attached error occurs. I had to go back to load 5441 to find an executable that worked.

The callstack in your attached crash report says the crash happened in the tree component, not directly in the HeidiSQL code. However, are you sure this was no one-timer? Did you restart Heidi and got the same error again?
