How to get old sorting chevrons?

I updated to the latest version and now instead of the up/down chevrons I see a/z text instead. I looked in the settings but didn't see a way to go back to using the chevrons. How can I switch back to the chevrons?

There is no setting for these icons in the column headers.

But I was thinking the same - the simple arrows were clearer, and probably even more usable with the new (dark) themes.

Could you please file an issue in the bugtracker for this request?
