sql error 1064

Just installed the latest version of Heidisql 10.3.0.5864 (64 Bit) on Windows 10.

I have been using a script for months now. And with this new version, I'm getting the 1064 error on the first line:

DECLARE @email VARCHAR(100);

/ SQL Error (1064): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DECLARE @email VARCHAR(100)' at line 1 /

Any ideas?
