hi

i have a issue

i installed HeidiSQL on my windows 10 computer

when i open heidisql, i have the windows to enter server data, user etc...

but when i connect, heidisql is minimzed in tray, and there is no way to open the window.

is this a bug, or is there a way to fix this?

i have reinstalled, but no luck.

weird thing is, i installed it on another windows 10 machine, and there it just works fine.

any idea?

Please exit all HeidiSQL instances, then start regedit.exe, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HeidiSQL and delete all values starting with "MainWin". Then start HeidiSQL and see if that helped.

I have been using HeidiSQL latest portable version for a couple of weeks with no problem. Suddenly after an overnight update to Windows 10 prerelease 200612-1734 I now no longer have any GUI for HeidiSQL. I have seen several posts on this issue from the past so I did a complete fresh install with the Windows Installer version. Still no GUI. I checked REGEDIT for "MainWin" items but there are none.

I run with 3 monitors and multiple desktops but up to now have had no issue.

HEIDISQL.exe is running in the background, but no icon appears in the taskbar when launched.

Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?

I just installed HeidiSQL on my computer, and I am also having this issue. It's stuck in the tray, and I cannot resolve the issue. This is what I see when I try to do the suggested fix.

Help?

SOMEONE ON DISCORD HELPED ME FIX THIS!

Step 1: hover over the icon in the taskbar until you can see the preview Step 2: right-click the window and click "move" Step 3: click any directional arrow on your keyboard Step 4: your cursor will jump to the edge of the screen and you can drag the window from the abyss.

BLESS THE PERSON WHO HELPED ME.
