You should probably install the latest build via installer, as that brings you a copy of plink.exe into your HeidiSQL directory, which probably does not have that issue: https://www.heidisql.com/installers/HeidiSQL_11.0.0.6104_Setup.exe

After installing, open HeidiSQL again and make sure your session has just "plink.exe" as the "plink.exe location", without a path:

Then try to connect and see if the problem is gone.

There were quite a few updates to plink, and not every version is compatible to HeidiSQL's tunnel logic. But the one shipped with the new installer should work.

And which plink version is it now?

Ok, looks as if you have the new shipped plink.exe in place.

Is it probably a wrong password you are providing, and the server rejects it and asks per prompt for the right one?

I hope that was the case . validated the same connection via putty and all working fine there. Attached snap for your reference.

I have the same case but it will just connect fine after clicking Ok on each error prompt. I think this issue can be resolved at the ssh server configuration. I'm using Bitvise SSH Server.
