Adding a column not possible?

Hello, i would like to add a column to an existing table in a MariaDB (it is no big table appr. 21,6MB but has quiet many columns 186 - i try to add the 187th)

Normaly this works fine for other tables and i did this without problems so far.

But with this table i only get the round cicle that the program is working and i only can close the program...

Is there anything i can do so i am able to add this column to the table?

Thanks and kind regards in advance.

Get an interesting hint from reddit regarding the mariadb -

https://www.reddit.com/r/mariadb/comments/jcjda6/alter_tablet_not_possible_mariadb_heidisql/

As i wrote there - when i reduced some varchar-fields and changed some to text (this was possible) - i was able to add the new column.
