Multiple instances empty BUG

If I leave empty the setting "Allow mutliple application instances" and by mistake click on HeidiSQL icon to open HeidiSQL as it is already opened, nothing happens as predicted. Then I close already opened HeidiSQL and try to open HeidiSQL again but nothing happens, no window is opened. I can click 100 times and nothing. The only solution is to open Processes with CTRL+Shift+Escape and kill all HeidiSQL processes. I figured it out that there are so many HeidiSQL processes as many times I clicked HeidiSQL icon. After killing all HeidiSQL processes I can open HeidiSQL as usual.

Is that happening with the latest version of HeidiSQL? And is it reproducible?

There were a few reports saying that HeidiSQL does not show its window after starting it. In some of them there was a second screen connected before, and HeidiSQL tries to display in the area of the no longer connected screen. Could that be the case for you?

In any case, you can try to delete the "MainWin*" entries in your registry:

Description

You can find these using regedit.exe, in the folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\HeidiSQL. Be sure that no HeidiSQL is running in the background while you delete these values. Otherwise these might get recreated automatically.
