Bugreport: HeidiSQL not saving changes

I changed the username of the connection on the tab "SSH Tunnel" then I saved. If I restart HeidiSQL then the old username is still loading.

Are you sure you pressed the "Save" button? I just did the same without problems.

Yes of course. I found the cause. It is because I don't have enough permissions for whatever reasons.

If I am using HeidiSQL without admin permissions I also get alot of popup errors e.g.:

**Tabs won't be stored in this session.

Unable to write to C:\DEV\Tools\HeidiSQL12\tabs.ini

Access denied**

I opened the program as admin and now it saved. Why does heidi not have enough permission?

Ok you should check the privileges of the folder where you installed HeidiSQL (c:\dev\Tools\HeidiSQL12\ ) Make sure the user which you use to start HeidiSQL has write permissions in that folder.

That solved it, thx! I had to add windows user to the folder. Not sure why it was not added as I created it... probably some GPO setting from the company.
