Error when using latin1_general_ci collation in HeidiSQL 12.1

Hi!! I've been using HeidiSQL for a couple of months now and recently had to reinstall, updating blindly to the last version uploaded not even a month ago. With this new version I've noticed I can't see my accent marks (I use it in Spanish so accents are very common) and what is even more disturbing, I can't write any new accents. Pasting a text with some of them will turn them into question marks '?' and typing them by hand will lock me up in the cell, sending an error like '0 rows updated, expected 1' or something like that. I've come back to 12.0 and everything works right again.

In the log panel you can verify the connection's character set:

Description
