View Definition Panel disappears

Hello %, this report is about the panel which displays the view definition, and allows to edit it. I observed it first a few months ago and it is still present with the current version 12.10.0.7000, which I use now. Since I did not find anything about it in the forum, I post my findings here.

This is how the panel should look like, and how it looks most of the time:

After a while of using the program, klicking here and there, and just doing stuff, the panel disappears and the program looks like this:

You can see the three buttons below the view definition panel now traveled all the way up, as if the height of the edit window suddenly was set to 0.

Steps to reproduce: sorry, no clear path here. Just use the program, display other objects, tables, data, queries, and suddenly when you return to any of the view definition, the edit panel is gone. The debug log does not show any difference between the well-behaving and the bad-boy situation.

Can anyone confirm?

Oh, sorry, I forgot to mention: Restarting the program solves the problem, until it reappears occasionally.

Yes this is somehow reproducible when running with >100% DPI on a screen, and was reported in issue #1816. Quite resistant to all attempts to fix it yet.

Please try the workaround to click some other table in the tree and then back on the view. In my cases the view editor was displayed fine then.

Yes, from what I can recall, it only happens with screens at scaling above 100%. The workaround works in many cases. Thank you!
