HeidiSQL UI

I'm fairly new to rdbms but not a complete newb. I have only used Heidi for a brief period while I'm relearning MySQL. I'm having a bit of a problem figuring out how to manage the UI.

For instance, the fact that all queries are numbered and saved and added to the UI creates a lot of clutter for me. I don't reuse those queries preferring to rewrite them to reinforce my learning. I cannot find a way to a) get rid of all that clutter at the top of the screen or b) stop it from continuing.

Can anyone tell be how to do those 2 things? Is there a decent tutorial or web page that will help learn how to manage the interface?

TIA

In the main menu, click Tools > Preferences, then click on the tab Files and tabs, then disable the option "Reopen previously used..."

Thanks for the information.

I had searched through those Preferences options without finding it, perhaps because I was looking for a clue about queries. I would never have guessed that the option would be labelled: Reopen previously used SQL files and unsaved content in tabs. IMO, that could be more clearly stated.

Again, thank you for the help. It is most appreciated!
