garbage characters appearing in the log

This seems to be happening quite a bit for me recently. When doing work in HeidiSQL, the output characters in the log will switch to unreadable garbage characters. Restarting HeidiSQL obviously fixes the issue temporarily, but it always seems to come back. Running Windows 11 Pro 64 bit on Snapdragon(R) X Elite - X1E80100 - Qualcomm(R) Oryon(TM) CPU (That is an ARM CPU)

If you can, please share some sql script for a reproduction recipe there. I have a slight notion that this is caused by the "cut log messages" option in preferences. But I was not yet able to reproduce it.
