"Ctrl+S always opens 'Save As' dialog instead of saving the current file"

When I press Ctrl + S in HeidiSQL, it always opens the "Save As" dialog instead of simply saving the current file. Even after I save the file once, pressing Ctrl + S again still asks me to save it as a new file.

Expected behavior: After the first save, Ctrl + S should overwrite the existing file directly without prompting "Save As" again.

Yes I saw this in your prior post already. The Ctrl S shortcut triggers the "Save as" action as long as the editor content was not saved to a file. So far this is very normal and should not be changed. What you mean now is when the file was already saved, and the editor content was not modified again, then a further press on Ctrl S triggers the "Save as" action again. This should probably be changed, so nothing happens in that case. That way the "save" action is more clearly separated from the "save as" action.

I need an bug report in the tracker for that. Would you please...?

My situation is that I opened an existing SQL file located in a Dropbox-synced folder. After editing and pressing Ctrl+S, it saves normally. However, when I press Ctrl+S again without making any further changes, a “Save As” dialog immediately appears, asking me to save the file under a new name. I encountered this strange behavior.

Of course, I can provide a bug report in the tracker — could you please tell me how I should submit it?
