Hello, I’m completely out of ideas.

For a database migration, I need to access two MariaDB servers with HeidiSQL:

  • one running on synology DSM 6

  • one running on synology DSM 7

The first (old) server has been running flawlessly for years. The new server is configured identically, including the same port forwarding rules.

With HeidiSQL, I cannot connect to the second server (DSM 7) at all. However, from the command line I can connect to it immediately from outside.

I’m completely puzzled.
