Macos dark mode feedback

Hello, Thank you so much for releasing HeidiSQL for Macos. I am grateful for your efforts.

I have two points of feedback:

• The text colors in the tree are difficult to see in dark mode.
• The (small) size of the tree text and top controls can't be changed.

I wonder if these could hook into os system settings.

You may increase the font size in Tools > Preferences > General > "GUI font". Please try and give feedback if that works. In my own tests the font looked very normal to me, neither too small nor too large.

For the text colors, I suppose you mean the gray unseen objects. That's a feature in HeidiSQL, so it's visually easier to see which table you already clicked and on which not. This is probably an issue in dark mode, and not only on macOS. What would you suggest here?

Thank you! I tried changing GUI font and size on macos Tahoe latest, but it does not have any effect even after app restart. My goal here is to increase the app font size, not to change the font. But the font size option is disabled on the default setting, so it's necessary to select a font in order to enable the font size option.

Regarding the dark mode tree colors, white text on the dark background would be optimal. Here's a screenshot of how macos handles the selected item with a background color in dark mode (in the Finder app). If something like that is possible, I think it would a good approach.

What I meant was the highlighting of tables which were selected before, as you can see here:

Ok, I see the selected item is bold with a colored background on the row.

The issue I'm experiencing is that the gray text on the dark background is difficult to see.

I also can't change the GUI font name or size. I can specify them, and my choices get saved, but the GUI font does not actually change, even after app restart.

I think this could work:

• Not selected, not recently clicked: white
• Not selected, recently clicked: white, bold
• Selected: white, bold, colored background row

Or perhaps the table icon could change to reflect recently clicked state, instead of bolding.

Either way, I think the default should be white text on dark background for dark mode.
