i cant connect to mysql since the ip is wrong it sayd plz he

the ip that is there now is : 127.0.0.1 why is that wrong and what is the right ip/host name plz help.

Generally, instead of 127.0.0.1, I used "mysql.mydomain" (less the "www" part).

So, for "www.abc.com", it would have been "mysql.abc.com".

I got this info, plus the rest of this program's required setup tidbits, from my host.

Withing just a few minutes, heidisql was working, from my desktop.
