Auto-Edit features

I really miss the ability to just start typing to edit data like we had in 3.x. That said, there are a few things that could be done to the current release that make this transition less painful:

(1) Automatically enter edit mode when appending/inserting a new row in a table.

(2) An option to turn on automatic editing for those of us that preferred the prior behavior.

When are you planning to work on this feature? Approximately how soon do you think you will be done? (3 months, 6 months?)

Sorry there is no such thing like a plan here. But there are a bunch of other issues having lots more stars/votes. However, that does not necessairily mean they will come first. Probably this is easy to implement so I'll do it probably before the next release.
